285 pp. on heavy art stock. Stiff wraps, with about 22 color plates, many more b&w plates. Light spine creasing, a few pages have dogear creases. A name is written in red ink at bottom of the acknowledgements page, a pencilled circle in on the exhbition list page, no other markings. Light soil along lower fore edge of front cover. A detailed large-format catalog for a traveling exhibit of Honore Daumier's works, primarily his lithographs. The exhibit was displayed at 8 museums in the U.S. and Europe from 1979 to 1982. Introduction by Kenneth Donahue, brief foreword by Hammer, and an essay by guest curator Agnes Mongan. A color plate of "Advocat Plaidant" adorns the cover. Includes work from the George Longstreet collection that was first sold to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and then purchased by Hammer, a museum trustee.
