We are an online used-book dealer, selling mostly non-fiction titles at reasonable prices since 2001. Our main inventory categories are: art, culinary, entertainers, GLBTQ, and spirituality. We strive to make our listings as informative and accurate as possible, but feel free to ask questions about any item in our inventory. Generic stock images of books are displayed as a shopping aid. Photo scans of specific copies are gladly provided upon request.

For your convenience, this website provides a shopping cart. However, you do not need to log in or create an account to make purchases. Simply send an e-mail listing what you'd like to buy to We will reply with prices, information about availability, shipping fees and options for sending payments.

 As an anti-recession move, KingChamp Books has reduced all prices on its own web site by 10 percent. This rewards customers who purchase KingChamp's inventory at rather than through marketplaces that charge ever-rising commissions and shipping fees. Thank you for your loyalty. Although the federal government contends the Great Recession has ended, KingChamp has extended its "Stimulus"  discounts into 2017.

Feel free to e-mail to confirm availability and reserve a title for 14 days. If you can't find what you need, please fill out our off-line search form and we will search our off-line inventory, other bookstores and book search services for you.

 U.S.: Media Mail rate $3 first book, $1 additional. Priority, $7.00 first book, $2 additional. International: International Priority, $20 and up each book. International First Class also is available, but in some cases, it may be more expensive than International Priority.

NOTE: Despite U.S. Postal Service rate increases every year from 2006 through 2017, KingChamp Books continues to use its 2005 domestic shipping rates to keep your total price as low as possible. The 2007 increase eliminated ocean shipping rates for overseas shipping. KingChamp uses International 1st Class and Priority Mail envelopes whenever possible to provide the lowest rates available. We do not use postage to pad our modest profits. Any overpayment of postage on overseas shipments will be refunded to the customer.

Scarce signed copy of "Ten Blocks from the White House," the Washington Post's documentation of 1968 rioting in the District of Columbia following the assassination of Martin Luther King. $50. 

Emile Garboriau's classic 1869 detective story, "Monsieur Lecoq" in a clean Dover reprint, include a 28-page introduction and bibliography by E.F. Bleiler, $9

Hokusai's Sketch-books, near perfect with inscription by author James Michener $120

Two 1909 back issues of The Outlook, forerunner of Time and Newsweek, featuring political articles by Theodore Roosevelt, who has associate editor. $12 and $14.

Carl Sandburg's Rootabaga Stories, Omnibus Edition, very good condition. $70

TWO WW 2 U.S. Army collectible booklets -- "The Fifth Division in France" ($50) and "A Camera Trip through Camp Croft" ($25)

Leonard Bernstein's Norton Lectures at Harvard on "The Unanswered Question," a 1973 exploration of the possibility of a universal musical grammar, recorded on 17 vinyl LPs with no visible scratches. Includes many excerpts from classical and modern composers. $100

Several antique German colonial maps -- folding maps with panels mounted on cloth -- are being catalogued and placed in our inventory. Most show various districts of colonies in Africa. Nice material for collectors of Africana or World War 1 material. Newly added -- large map of Kissaki region in Tanzania and Jendi region of Togoland.

-- Several early printings of Jules Verne adventure novels. Newly added: "Tour of the World in Eighty Days"  (A.L. Burt Home Library edition); "Five Weeks in a Balloon (George Routledge & Sons.)" "Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea." "Underground City" and "Journey to the Center of the Earth."

New Yorker back issues --
We have on hand about 7 years' worth of recent New Yorkers. E-mail which copies you need. $3 for one, $2 for each additional issue. We also will be offering box lots of 3 months' worth (10 to 12 issues, all in good to very good condition) for just $12 each. Just added -- the new single issue cover showing Hillary Clinton as a bruised but happy boxer. Also a packet of 5 Trump covers.
-- Several Stephen King hardcovers (mostly later printings) have been added to the inventory and more are coming. Latest titles:  "Heart of Atlantis," "Insomnia" "Pet Sematary," "Storm of the Century" screenplay,  and "Salem's Lot,"  E-mail  us if you need a particular title for your collection.
