Hammell, The Rev. George M. Heavily rubbed on spine, rear cover. Brown color of cover missing in a one-inch band along the spine and top; sprine missing most of its brown color. Title page detached, laid in. Gift inscription and doodle on front endpaper in pencil, date 1905. Light foxing on end paper, text clean. A science book for schoolchildren in the 8-12 age range. Hammell calls it a companion to "Bible Brilliants." He says the purpose is to teach children about nature but reinforce their faith in God. Natural phenomena are presented as the handiwork of the Creator. Price:
