144 pp. Binding still sturdy, but this vintage paperback's rear cover has a 2-inch slit along bottom of spine. Foxing on inside covers. No marks. Light toning. A young nun recounts her experiences in a corrupt Italian convent in 1606. She attempts to stifle her physical desires but the convent atmosphere works against her. In the introduction, De Mejo says the book is based on an antique diary he received in San Gemignano, Italy,from a "direct descendant" of Sister Cara. Pyramid F-950.
