Shows some roads and topographical features, Scale of 1:400,000. Rehoboth, formerly a bantustan before independence. Maltahohe is in south-central Namibia. Other features shown incolude Uribuib-Gebirge and Haros-gebirge.

280 pp. Faint pale yellow water stain along bottom of pp. 1-4, a few additional early pages rippled, rest of text clean. Lower corner of front cover thumbed. Spine crease. A fashion catalog-cum-magazine presented as a fictional family reunion scrapbook of Bryan Emerson and his siblings, four young men and a woman gathering at their posh childhood home in Hamilton, Mass. on the North Shore of Boston. Clothing is the usual Abercrombie & Fitch preppie gear, worn by blond, toned WASP specimens. Many casual bare-chested poses in color and black & white. Some models are shown stripped down to underwear. Cover shows the clan standing in front of a Georgian colonial, three of them holding geese. The inexplicable geese-holding pose is repeated several times in the inside pages. The catalog also includes 22 articles, including pieces on actors Chris Masterson, Hill Harper, William Shatner and Florence Henderson, gay Eagle Scout James Dale; R & B group Lucy Pearl; Rockette dancer Melanie Allen; boy band Hanson; an excerpt from a David Sedaris book; plus notes on best seller books, music, movies and video games.

175 pp. Nearly new. An Orlando Sentinel review of the book was laid in front, leaving a yellowish acid shadow on the inside cover. Otherwise clean. Signed "Regards, Patricia Acton April 1989" on half-title page. Fascinating, detailed account of the lawsuit Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings faced after publishing "Cross Creek" in 1942. Zelma Cason, a former friend and neighbor of Rawlings, resented the way she was depicted in the memoir, and sued for $100,000. Cason won the case on appeal but with only nominal damages. The four-year legal battle left Rawlings tired and depressed, but later on she resumed friendship with Cason.

Includes an appendix on the characteristics of those arrested in the riots. An epilogue sampled the mood of the city several months later.

A 9-page introduction provides an quick but informative overview of Florida's architectural development. Several regional maps, index. No writing or highlighting in the text. An excellent guide for any traveler intending to explore Florida beyond the beaches and theme parks. Footnotes for each house give visiting hours and telephone numbers for more information.
